Here is the usual sequence when it comes to getting your SWA Account:
1. One-time payment for your SWA Account
2. SWA Account Registration Online
3. SWA Account Activation
Here’s what the SWA Admin says about SWA Account Activation:
Your payment will be verified by the SWA Admin, and once it is verified, you will receive a notification email that your account is already activated. Verification time frame depends on the payment option that you chose. Different payment options also have different time periods when sending details about new customer payments or remittances.
Some banks (like BPI, PNB, HSBC, and SCB) only give us their list of deposits the next banking day, so activation via these banks may take from 1 to 2 days. Some banks, on the other hand (like BDO and UnionBank), and SMS-based payments (Smart Money and Globe GCash via SMS transfer), provide real-time reporting so you can expect same day activation or at most 24 hours waiting for activation via these payment options.
Remittance payments sent within the Philippines via Cebuana Lhuillier, M. Lhuillier, and LBC are usually activated within the next banking day. However, as we have experienced before, their facilities sometimes become offline during the time our admin retrieves payments from their respective branches. When this happens, activation may occur on the 2nd day or may even reach the 3rd day, depending on the offline situation of the remittance center.
Remittance payments from outside the Philippines are always reported to SWA either the next banking day or after 24 hours from the time of payment. So for remittances from MoneyGram or the international remittance partners of Cebuana Lhuillier, M. Lhuillier, LBC, and even international remittances directed towards banks like BDO and BPI, activation may occur the next day or may take longer if the international remittance partner becomes offline or fails to immediately report the remittance.
